“Van valami annyira egyszerű ezekben a süteményekben” – lelkendezett Deschanel, aki egyébként szigorú vegetáriánus, a vegán étkezésről várandóssága idején sem volt hajlandó lemondani. Ez a recept is vegán, ami azt jelenti, hogy nem tartalmaz semmilyen állati eredetű hozzávalót, például se tojást, se tejet. Sőt, a mézet is juharsziruppal “helyettesíti”.
Ez azonban semmit sem von le az édesség élvezeti értékéből, legfeljebb még egészségesebb.
Hozzávalók (kb. 70 darabhoz):
1 1/2 csésze zabpehely
1 1/4 csésze tönkölybúza liszt
1 1/4 csésze zabliszt
1 tk só
1 tk szódabikarbóna
1 csésze juharszirup
1 csésze repce olaj
1 tk vanília
1 1/2 csésze félédes, sütésálló csokoládé csepp
1 1/2 csésze apróra vágott dió
Melegítsük elő a sütőt 170 fokra (gázsütőnél 3-as fokozat) és két tepsibe helyezzünk sütőpapírt. Egy közepes nagyságú tálban keverjük össze a zabpelyhet, tönköly lisztet és zablisztet, a sót, valamint a szódabikarbónát. Egy nagyobb tálban keverjük össze a juharszirupot, repce olajat és a vaníliát. Majd keverjük a nedves hozzávalókhoz a szárazakat, végül kerüljön bele a dió és a csokicsepp.
Ezután evőkanálnyi mennyiségekből rakosgassunk halmokat a tepsikbe. Süssük 11-13 percig, amíg enyhén meg nem barnul. Hagyjuk hűlni a tepsiben 3 percig, majd helyezzük sütőrácsra, hogy teljesen kihűljön.
